Putney Grade II Listed Building Single Storey Rear Extension London & Planning Residential Architecture

Studio20 Architects designed a single storey rear extension for a Grade II Listed Building while following Wandsworth Council's planning considerations. Despite the challenges of getting permission for modifications to a listed building, the extension was carefully designed to complement the existing structure and meet the needs of the client.

Our goal is to create a beautiful and functional extension that complements the existing building's character while preserving its historic charm.
We're using traditional building materials like brick and slate to match the original building's appearance, so it blends seamlessly into the surrounding environment.
To make the extension even more inviting, we'll include a terrace area perfect for outdoor dining and entertaining.
For easy access to the garden, we'll include a beautiful garden staircase leading down from the terrace.

      Despite our best intentions we ran into a rookie planning move, where we allowed scope creep to move us away (incrementally at first) from our approved planning design.
