Our clients in Streatham Hill have expressed their desire to enhance their traditional property by incorporating a contemporary and inviting Single Storey extension. The original property was an ideal home for a family, but it had some issues with cramped and disconnected areas, which made it difficult to move around. However, our team of architects recognized the immense potential in this property for an extension project. Furthermore, they have requested a comprehensive internal renovation to completely transform the existing space. The property was consists of small rooms that impede smooth movement within the house. The clients’ vision entails converting these cramped areas into a spacious, open layout that promotes a sense of airiness and freedom.

What We Provided Our Client

The garden was big enough to extend the space to the rear for a single-storey extension. Quite surprisingly, our client wanted us to create a unique space that will have individuality and will stand out from the other parts of the house. ​ Our design plan combined natural timber, neutral colours, as well as bespoke joinery to create a harmonious space: a perfect place to spend quality time with family and friends.

Despite our best intentions we ran into a rookie planning move, where we allowed scope creep to move us away (incrementally at first) from our approved planning design. Nadir was so polite and even worked with us after hours to understand our issue and offer solutions which ultimately saved us from a potentially costly mistake.
